Assessments
Autism Assessments (Child & Adult)
- Description: Assessment to evaluate and determine the presence of Autism. This includes interviews, standardised tests/questionnaires and observational assessments.
- Process: Parent/caregiver interview (approx. 2hrs), child observation (approx. 2hrs), questionnaires to parents/caregivers and teachers and feedback session (approx. 1hrs).
- Comprehensive Autism Assessment Package: Includes all sessions, detailed comprehensive report which includes functional assessment. These reports are often required for NDIS funding.
- Standard Autism Assessment Package: Includes all sessions and a brief report/diagnostic letter.
Individuals 25 years and under may be entitled to a rebate with a paediatrician or psychiatrist referral. Unfortunately, no rebate is available for individuals over 25 years.
ADHD Assessments
Due to the high comorbidity between ADHD and Autism, many clients wish to explore ADHD in conjunction with an Autism assessment.
Process: to explore ADHD in conjunction with an Autism assessment, an additional hour will be added, along with additional standardised questionnaires and consultation with the child's teacher.
Cognitive Assessments
- Description: Evaluations that measure cognitive functioning, including IQ testing and assessments of specific cognitive abilities (memory, attention, problem-solving).
- Process: Initial consultation with parent/caregiver (approx. 1hr), assessment session (approx. 1.5hrs), feedback session (approx. 1hr).
- Standard Cognitive Assessment: includes all sessions and reports.
- Cognitive assessment can be added to any assessment package.
Unfortunately, no rebate is available for this service.
Functional Assessment
Reports from this assessment can be used for NDIS funding requests. Can be standalone or can be added to any assessment. Unfortunately, no rebate is available.
